A fun time was had by all. Special thanks to all those who brought snacks. The tournament was a Swiss round robin for 5 rounds. Thanks to all for bearing with me as I experimented with this new style. If you could send me an email (pickleballed@gmail.com) with the following feedback, it would be most appreciated:
- Was the format enjoyable?
- If yes, why? If not, why not?
- It was suggested that we provide name tags, how should this be implemented?
- One of the objectives was to have the games get more competitive as we go, did we achieve this?
- We seem to be dominated by stronger players this time, how can we encourage more varied skills?
- We went without referees, is this okay, or is referees better?
- What is the one thing we can do to improve this event?
In case anyone is interested in the actual results, here they are:
Great grand kahuna: Dennis and Godfrey at 5 wins and 0 losses.
Grand kahuna: Lloyd and Paul at 4 wins and 1 loss.
Kahuna: There were 4 teams tied for the title of Kahuna at 3 wins and 2 losses.
